comments on Kenzo from renowned Danish breeder of police K9 Carl Hulgaard.
When selecting a new breeding partner for ones bitch material, there are many factors to be taken into account.
First and foremost, both parents of course
- Be physically fit and healthy
- without shortcomings and flaws
- Have a good disposition and temperament
- to be friendly and sociable
- Have the right operational potential
(drive),so they are easy to work with
- posses psychological and mental surplus
- free of stress
- Have an easy and effortless barking important as a police dog.
These points seemed Kenzo vom Nordenstamm to fulfill, and after watching him work a few times, my opinion was that the properties were genetically determined and not learned.
The question was simply whether he was able to perpetuate these qualities to his offspring.
After seeing some puppies after him with different mothers, I had no doubt that I would use him here in the kennel because his properties are passed to offspring.
.
A recurring feature of the vast majority of Kenzo's offspring is that they have a fearless nature and exhibit courage far above average. This, combined with their high level of operation and speed and ease, effortless barking means that I now have used Kenzo a few times when he matched our bitch material really well.
Kenzo has become the father of several excellent police dogs from this kennel, the oldest now approaching 3 years of age.
Everyone gets the credit for their courage and mental toughness and commitment and decisiveness in resolving the many diverse tasks that a police dog encounter.
